There are some tasks that just seem too big to take on: Climbing Mount Everest, crossing the Sahara desert on foot, and getting a kid to eat something healthy.
Fortunately, there are ways to not only get your kids to eat something healthy, you can actually get them to enjoy it. This is thanks to juicing. If you cannot get your kids to eat their vegetables then you can definitely get them to drink them.

You may be thinking to yourself that you could easily buy juice at the store and not go through the trouble of using a juicer.
This would not be a great idea since most juice brands, even ones that claim to contain “100% juice” have been found to use concentrates, added sugars and much more.

Before you start making the juice for your kids you need to remember that your children have bodies that are still developing. This means that you may want to tone it down a notch on just how much of a particular ingredient you give them. Juicing can yield some potent results so remember to scale down for them. In fact, it may be a good idea to water down the juice that they receive at first.
Strawberry Apple Juice
This is an extremely simple recipe that will make a great wake up drink for your child or children.
2 cups chopped strawberries
1 golden delicious apple
Mango Pineapple & Spinach
This recipe is a good starting point for incorporating plenty of spinach into your child’s diet. Best of all, if your child is really picky when they see the color green in their glass or on their plate, they will not really be able to taste it.
- 1 Mango
- 1 Cup of pineapple
- 1-2 Cups of spinach
Apple Beet & Carrot
Tip: Get your kids to get some leafy greens like baby spinach by adding them to fruit based juices. Spinach has little to any flavor and mixes well with anything, but has tremendous health benefits.
If you have a child that is learning their ABCs then this juice will be a great tool in addition to tasting great.
- 2 Apples
- 2 Carrots
- 1/2 Beet
If your kids like mint gum, they’ll like this.
- 1 small bunch of mint
- 1 handful of spinach
- 1/2 lime
- 1 green apple
- 2 stalks of celery
- 1/2 cucumber
Cherry Lime Smash
This juice is best served over ice.

- 1 yellow bell pepper
- 1 golden delicious apple
- 2 cups of pitted cherries
